Growing up as a native San Franciscan, I could tell you the going per square foot rate in the top 10 neighbourhoods in San Francisco and where the schools ranked. I knew which areas were predicted to hit the Top 10 List for appreciation, and the 3 ways I could finance an investment property there.

Yes, this is totally weird stuff for a 10 year old to know, but it wasn’t weird in my house.

I was the only kid at the dinner table across from my Mom, real estate Maven as a top agent in San Francisco for 50 years, and my Dad, a retail developer across California and the country, meaning that this stuff was just in the fabric of my life. It’s what we talked about, what we did on the weekends, and evenings, it was the family business and I learned early on that

“BUYING A HOUSE IS ALWAYS AN INVESTMENT,
IT JUST DEPENDS ON WHAT TYPE OF INVESTMENT IT IS.”

Meaning that if you’re buying an investment property to diversify your portfolio, a home to raise your family, your daughter’s first condominium after college, or a cabin to escape to, you’re making an investment, one of heart,energy and money. It’s my job to make sure that your ROI lines up with your measures of success.

The point is that San Francisco real estate is in me, I’ve spent my whole life immersed in it, I know how it works here because the market, both residential and commercial, has been a part of my life before my memories exist. As others panic about the ebbs and flows of the weather I’m paying attention to the climate of the city.

Within six years, John helped us accomplish two of our biggest life long goals - owning a beautiful home in which to raise our growing family, and owning an investment property in San Francisco. We couldn't believe how easy he made it.
